Tid Bits of February

Craig and I aren't much on Valentine's, so we decided keep two sets of friends' kiddos while they enjoyed the evening.  We ordered pizza and had a great time with the bunch.  One little girl held her own with four boys.

For the past few months I've been getting my education on super heroes and villains.  We read books, pretend we are them, talk about them, ask tons of questions about who is who, etc... One morning while I was out for a doctor's appointment, the boys had a complete super hero morning, costumes, bad guys, and all.

A Pocketful of Cricket

This week the kids and I picked up a library book, A Pocketful of Cricket, from the "staff picks".  It turned out to be a real gem, the story of a precious farm boy, his pet cricket, and a teacher that spoke with grace.  Jay, the farm boy, collected items in his pocket while out on a farm chore including his soon-to-be pet, Cricket.  Since yesterday was sunny, we made "show and tell" bags and went on our own walk to collect interesting items.  Vic collected rocks that he threw in the water each time we passed by the creek near our house.  Making splashes are delightful.  Seth had a neat bag of items to show Dad when he got home from school.

Anyone want a care package?

The sweet lady at the post office gave Vic a sticker, and this is where he wanted it.
