Learning To Fly

Our little doves have flown the nest.  Last Sunday we found them perched and ready for their flying lessons.  They were in and out of the nest for a couple more days, and now we just see them occasionally perched around the yard.  Max was really sad to lose his little birdies, which like every other animal he calls "gog".  We dog sat several weeks ago and dog ("gog") was his first animal word.  It has stuck, and now every animal is a "gog".

New Babies

We have two new baby doves in our yard.  This is our second set of eggs in the yard, and this time they are in Max's windowsill.  He is so excited that it is a bit harder to put him down for a nap.  When we go into his room he wants to go the window and look at the wee ones.  Last time they stayed in the nest just over two weeks, so this means we have about one more week to enjoy them.

Last week

Max and Vic in the window enjoying them

Today... lots more feathers

The Roaring 20's

Last weekend Craig and I were invited to a 1920's birthday party, costumes optional.  No Goodwill or Target here, so we found outfits that were close enough in our closets.  It was lots of fun, and almost everyone came dressed in costume for the evening.

On his own two feet

Max started walking last week.  None of our boys have set any records for early walking, but they seem to be fine now.  Max hasn't completely given up crawling yet, but he is getting pretty close.

"Mom, I think I have Dad's legs."

I am a happy kid.  Especially when Mama puts me in a bucket of water without my diaper.

I love the water, so I'll just bathe in the SPF's.
