Tomorrow will be eight weeks that we have called this new place "home". In some ways it does feel like it, and in so many ways I feel like I've been plopped down in a very foreign place, where I'm playing a game without being introduced to the rules. Our family has found a bit of rhythm, an unhurried one, allowing the request for one more book to be usually granted. We are slowly finding our way into others' lives too.
And, speaking of slowly, I feel like I've been given two unexpected gifts. Our walls feel so tall, like they are often blocking out life. Still, life is to be discovered within our given places. As spring approaches two lives have dug themselves up from winter's hiding. How could anything get inside these walls? Well, like Lowly and Slow Shell, we hope lots of life finds its way into our walls.

We have no side yards, so the only way to get the extra dirt from the backyard to the front is through the center of the house. | |

I love Lowly and Slow Shell! What fun for the boys to have yard 'pets'. I'm glad things are slowly finding their way in...friends, routine, etc. I do wish I could just hop in the car and come visit!
